Voyages Heron Island – your natural wonderland Voyages Heron Island is a true coral cay right on the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef. Here you can swim straight off the beach to an endless garden of coral where the waters are literally teeming with beautifully coloured fish and marine life. Your delegates will arrive in awe and leave inspired. Heron Island is famous around the world for its spectacular coral reef, its extraordinary variety of aquatic life, migrating whales, nestling turtles and as a breading ground for an abundance of birdlife. Conference facilities are available for up to 110 delegates theatre style. The Wistari Room is an air conditioned presentation room which offers an excellent facilities opening onto a terrace overlooking the reef. Heron Island lies on the Tropic of Capricorn, 72 kilometres NE off the coast from Gladstone. Voyages Heron Island regular flights are available from Australian capital cities to Gladstone with Qantas. Voyages Heron Island can be accessed by boat launch or Scenic helicopter transfers from Gladstone. Heron Island is well suited for incentive groups where it is also possible to arrange an intimate incentive incorporating both Voyages Wilson Island and Heron Islands. Our Junior Rangers program offers a range of nature based activities designed to nurture a sense of exploration and caring for the environment, from reef walks, bird-watching and beachcombing through to paper making, tree planting and even the opportunity to design and run your own resort island.
